Helsana basic insurance

Helsana Health Insurance offers supplementary insurance and dental insurance in addition to basic insurance. Helsana basic insurance is available in the Standard Edition or the Alternative Insurance Model (AVM). The basic package is the classic basic insurance model. It covers all legally required medical services in case of illness, pregnancy or accident. The policyholder is free to choose a doctor and can decide whether to be treated by their family doctor or directly by a specialist. The amount of the monthly premium depends on the chosen deductible rate. With the alternative family doctor model BeneFit PLUS, you must first consult your family doctor or, in the event of illness, consult your family doctor in a group health maintenance organization (HMO). There you receive the same benefits as in the normal basic insurance. Your family doctor will refer you to a specialist if necessary. With this model, you save at least 12 % insurance premiums. Choose the Telmed model and save about 15 % premium. For BeneFit PLUS telemedicine health insurance plans, in case of illness, contact the free hotline of the Medgate Medical Advice Center. If you need further medical help or treatment, the advice center will refer you to your doctor or hospital.
