With Rhenusana health insurance, those interested in compulsory basic insurance can choose between three models.
Standard – This model gives you a free choice of doctor if you are ill, have an accident or seek medical care during pregnancy.
GP model – If you opt for this option, you should consult your doctor beforehand if necessary. If this is desirable, they will give you a recommendation to see an expert.
sanmed24 – This Telmed model initially offers you the opportunity to obtain advice from the telemedicine hotline. Further treatment strategies are determined there and, if necessary, you are referred to a specialist, GP or hospital.
If you opt for one of these alternative basic insurance models, you can also reduce your premiums by changing your payment method every six months or six months. You can also increase the deductible amount and insure at a lower price. The family also benefits from a special discount for the child of the third insured person.
The insurance cover provided by compulsory basic insurance can be extended as required with the help of various supplementary insurance policies, including alternative medicine, dentistry, prevention and comfort during hospital stays. You have the following options:
rhenuPLUS – This supplementary outpatient insurance can score points with a high co-payment. Visual assistance is covered up to CHF 500, health promotion measures up to CHF 2,000 and alternative medicine up to CHF 10,000. In addition, this insurance covers rescue and transportation costs as well as orthodontic costs for insured persons up to the age of 20.
rhenuDENTA – There are three benefit levels for taking out dental insurance with Rhenusana. Includes dental treatment, orthodontics and prevention in Switzerland and abroad. Up to 90 %, up to CHF 2000 per year.
rhenuKRANKENHAUS – Supplementary hospital insurance is very flexible. You can choose a doctor and hospital anywhere in Switzerland and decide on the type of accommodation before you go into hospital. Both the general ward and the quasi-private ward or private ward are problematic. The only difference is in premium refunds and deductions if you opt for the semi-private or private ward.
rhenuSWISS – This surcharge gives you a free choice between a Swiss hospital or the Principality of Liechtenstein. In the event of illness, birth or accident in the general ward.
If you insure more than one person with Rhenusana, the family discount also applies to supplementary insurance. rhenuSWISS also reduces premiums for two or more people in a household.
