Agrisano Krankenkasse AG is one of the five companies of the Agrisano Foundation. The Swiss Farmers’ Association was founded in 1992 to develop special insurance solutions for Swiss farming families and their employees. Agrisano health insurance offers insurance solutions developed in-house and tailored to the needs of the rural population. There are three models for basic insurance:
The basic model corresponds to the compulsory health insurance that all Swiss citizens must take out. The policyholder is free to choose their doctor and the premium amount depends on the deductible and excess.
AGRI-eco is the family doctor model. In the event of illness, policyholders first contact their family doctor or group practice (HMO). If necessary, they are referred to a specialist.
AGRI-contact is a Telmed model. If the insured person is ill, they first contact the medical advice service. A healthcare professional will refer the caller to a doctor or hospital if further treatment is required. Telemedicine models are not available in all states.
The benefits provided by statutory health insurance are regulated by law and are the same for all health insurance companies. If you need comprehensive cover, you can choose from several supplementary covers. Supplementary offers supplement the basic cover, for example dental or hospital cover. Agrisano health insurance offers supplementary insurance specifically for farmers. AGRI-spécial includes, among other things, accommodation in general hospital facilities throughout Switzerland, transport and rescue payments as well as allowances for emergency and alternative medicine abroad, spectacles and other medical assistance.

AGRI-Dental is supplementary dental insurance that covers 50% of dental treatment costs.
Hospital Flex is supplementary hospital insurance with flexible accommodation solutions in traditional, semi-private or private hospital complexes.
Hospital insurance is another type of supplementary hospital insurance that covers the costs of a stay in a semi-private or private hospital complex.
AGRI’s income is daily allowance and cover against the financial consequences of absence from work due to illness, childbirth or accident. In addition, policyholders can take out legal expenses insurance, travel insurance, agricultural accident insurance, disability and death insurance.
